- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions or chives, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- In a bowl, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chopped bacon, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Roll mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Freeze for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
- Roll each ball in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry bites until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
