Cheesy Garlic Bread with Mozzarella & Parsley

Golden slices of crusty bread loaded with buttery garlic spread and gooey melted mozzarella, broiled to perfection and sprinkled with fresh parsley. This cheesy garlic bread is an irresistible side or snack that’s quick, comforting, and crowd-pleasing.

  • 1 large baguette or Italian loaf, halved lengthwise
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, olive oil, garlic, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over each bread half.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden top.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and optional red pepper flakes.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-shredded cheese for convenience or freshly shredded for better melt.
  • Try adding chopped basil or oregano for extra flavor.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
