- 1/3 cup almond butter (or nut butter of choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- Flaky sea salt, for garnish
- Slice each date lengthwise to create an opening without cutting all the way through.
- In a small bowl, mix almond butter with cinnamon if using.
- Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of almond butter. Press gently to close.
- In a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt the chocolate and coconut oil until smooth.
- Dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate, coating it fully. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Drizzle with extra chocolate if desired and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- Use natural almond butter for a smoother texture and richer flavor.
- Try other nut butters like peanut or cashew for variety.
- Can be made ahead and stored up to a week in the fridge.
- Add chopped nuts or coconut flakes on top for extra texture.
