This crispy chicken Caesar salad is a hearty twist on the classic, featuring golden, breaded chicken cutlets served over crunchy romaine, crispy bacon, and creamy Caesar dressing. Bold in flavor and texture, it’s perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup crispy cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Flatten chicken breasts to even thickness and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Press breadcrumbs to adhere well.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Let rest, then slice.
  4. In a large bowl, toss chopped romaine with Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan, and chopped bacon.
  5. Plate the salad and top with sliced crispy chicken.
  6. Garnish with extra dressing, freshly ground black pepper, and more Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use panko for extra crunch on the chicken.
  • Air fry the chicken for a lighter version.
  • Homemade Caesar dressing elevates the flavor.
  • Add croutons for more texture.
