Crispy Pan-Fried Garlic Potatoes

These crispy pan-fried garlic potatoes are golden and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and flavored with garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs. A classic and comforting side dish perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes, sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced potatoes in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  3. Flip the potatoes and cook the other side for another 4–5 minutes until crispy and tender.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and sauté gently to infuse flavor without burning.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper, then toss to coat evenly.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a nonstick or cast-iron skillet for the best crispy texture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even browning.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or a dash of smoked paprika.
