- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Form into small oval or round meatballs, about 1.5 inches in size.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, combine BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Optional: Mix cornstarch with a splash of water, then stir into the sauce to thicken.
- Add cooked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the glaze. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve meatballs hot over cooked white rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
