Juicy, herb-infused chicken kofta kebabs grilled to perfection and served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce for a fresh, flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix all kofta ingredients (except olive oil) until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into elongated oval kebabs around skewers or form them by hand.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Brush kofta with olive oil and grill for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. In a small bowl, mix all garlic yogurt sauce ingredients until smooth.
  5. Drizzle the sauce over the cooked kofta and sprinkle with extra parsley.
  6. Serve hot with flatbread or salad.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Adjust spices to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.
  • The garlic yogurt sauce can be prepared in advance and chilled.
