Mediterranean Marinated Feta Platter

A flavorful and elegant Mediterranean appetizer featuring feta cheese marinated in olive oil, herbs, and lemon, served with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and crackers. Perfect for entertaining, wine pairing, or mezze platters.

Ingredients

  • 1 block feta cheese (about 200g)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil), drained
  • 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives
  • 1/2 cup green olives (Castelvetrano or Manzanilla)
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Assorted crackers or toasted bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place feta on a serving platter. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with oregano, lemon zest, chili flakes, and black pepper.
  2. Let marinate for 15–30 minutes at room temperature to allow flavors to develop.
  3. Arrange olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and lemon slices around the feta on the platter.
  4. Garnish with fresh parsley and a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  5. Serve with assorted crackers, crostini, or warm pita bread on the side.

Notes

  • Use high-quality feta and olive oil for the best flavor.
  • Can be prepared a few hours in advance and kept covered at room temperature.
  • Add roasted red peppers, artichokes, or nuts for extra variety.
  • Pairs wonderfully with white wine or rosé.
