Ingredients

Scale

Brownies

  • 1 batch of Grandma’s Fudge Brownies, or your own brownie recipe (about 24 small squares)

Whipped Cream

  • 500 ml whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Candy Toppings

  • 1 (225 g) bag of your favourite candy-coated chocolate Easter Eggs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownies: Bake Grandma’s Fudge Brownies or your preferred recipe according to directions and allow them to cool completely. Alternatively, use store-bought brownies. Once cooled, slice into approximately 24 small square pieces.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, combine the whipping cream and white sugar. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, whip on high speed until stiff peaks form. Transfer about 1 cup of the whipped cream to a separate bowl. To the remaining whipped cream in the original bowl, gently fold in the cocoa powder until fully incorporated, creating chocolate whipped cream.
  3. Prepare the Candy Eggs: Pour most of the candy-coated chocolate Easter eggs into a plastic bag, reserving a few whole eggs for garnish. Crush the eggs inside the bag with a rolling pin until you have medium-sized pieces with some larger chunks remaining.
  4. Assemble the Parfaits: In parfait glasses, layer the chocolate whipped cream, followed by brownie chunks, then sprinkle crushed candy eggs. Repeat layers as desired. Top each parfait with a dollop of the plain whipped cream and garnish with a few whole candy-coated chocolate eggs.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately to enjoy the contrasting textures and festive flavors of this delightful dessert.

Notes

  • Use chilled whipping cream for best whipping results.
  • The brownie base can be substituted with store-bought brownies to simplify preparation.
  • Adjust the sugar amount in the whipped cream to your taste preference.
  • For a less sweet variation, reduce the amount of crushed candy eggs or omit from layering.
  • These parfaits are best served fresh but can be prepared a few hours in advance and refrigerated.
