Ingredients

Scale

Protein

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced

Pasta

  • 12 oz rotini pasta

Sauce & Liquids

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Seasonings & Garnish

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic: In the same pot, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add sauces and broth: Pour in the BBQ sauce, honey, and chicken broth, stirring well to combine all the liquids and flavors evenly.
  4. Cook the pasta: Add the rotini pasta to the pot, ensuring it is submerged in the sauce and broth mixture. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  5. Combine chicken and sauce: Once the pasta is cooked, add the cooked chicken back into the pot. Stir thoroughly to coat the chicken evenly with the BBQ honey garlic sauce.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a fresh finish. Serve the pasta hot and enjoy your flavorful one-pot meal.

Notes

  • Use your favorite BBQ sauce for a personalized flavor.
  • Adjust honey quantity if you prefer sweeter or less sweet sauce.
  • Stir occasionally during pasta cooking to prevent sticking or burning.
  • Chicken broth can be substituted with vegetable broth for a lighter version.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes along with the garlic.
