Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Dough and Cheese

  • 1 cup pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, shredded

Other Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the breadsticks.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the sliced onions and green bell peppers for about 5 minutes until they are softened and slightly caramelized.
  3. Cook Beef: Add the thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper and cook for approximately 3 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. Prepare Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle roughly half an inch thick to create a base for the filling.
  5. Assemble Breadsticks: Spoon the cooked steak, onion, and pepper mixture along one edge of the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese evenly on top. Fold the other side of the dough over the filling and seal the edges securely to encase the filling.
  6. Bake: Transfer the sealed dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

  • Use thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef for the best tender and juicy texture.
  • If you prefer extra cheesy breadsticks, add more provolone or other cheeses like mozzarella.
  • Make sure to seal the dough edges tightly to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best results.
