Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet or griddle. Place your skillet or griddle on medium-high heat and let it get hot before cooking to ensure a good sear on the beef and crispy tortillas.
  2. Press ground beef onto tortillas. Take a small handful of ground beef and press it directly onto one half of each large flour tortilla. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder evenly to taste.
  3. Cook beef side down. Place the tortillas beef-side down onto the heated skillet. Let them cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the beef is nicely browned and cooked through on the bottom.
  4. Flip and add cheese. Carefully flip the tortilla so the beef side is up. Sprinkle the exposed beef with shredded cheese, then fold the tortilla in half to cover the filling.
