Crispy toasted baguette slices topped with creamy ricotta, sweet juicy peaches, fresh herbs, and a sprinkle of chili spice—perfect as a summer appetizer or elegant brunch bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (or Aleppo pepper)
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley or mint, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: drizzle of honey or balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  4. Let crostini cool slightly, then spread each slice with a generous spoonful of ricotta.
  5. Top with fresh peach slices, gently pressing them into the ricotta.
  6. Sprinkle with chili powder or Aleppo pepper and a pinch of sea salt.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or mint.
  8. For added sweetness or acidity, drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze just before serving.

Notes

  • Use the ripest peaches for the best flavor.
  • Can be made vegetarian by skipping the honey or using a plant-based alternative.
  • Great served immediately while the crostini are still slightly warm.
