Spinach and Feta Puff Pastry Triangles

Golden, flaky puff pastry triangles filled with a creamy spinach and feta cheese mixture – the perfect savory appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add chopped spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes until wilted. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sautéed spinach with cream cheese, feta cheese, black pepper, and salt if using. Stir until well combined.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into 6 equal squares.
  6. Place a heaping tablespoon of the spinach-feta filling in the center of each square.
  7. Fold each square into a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing down with a fork.
  8. Transfer triangles to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm!

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen spinach (thawed and drained) if fresh is unavailable.
  • Serve with a side of tzatziki or marinara for dipping.
  • These can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
