Tiramisu Brownie Bars

The perfect fusion of two beloved desserts—rich, fudgy brownies topped with espresso-soaked ladyfingers, airy mascarpone cream, and a generous dusting of cocoa powder. These tiramisu brownie bars are decadent, indulgent, and ideal for coffee lovers.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 68 ladyfinger biscuits (cut to fit)
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until smooth. Pour into the pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 20–22 minutes. Let cool completely.
  5. Place ladyfingers on top of cooled brownie base and brush with espresso. Let soak slightly.
  6. In a bowl, beat mascarpone, cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  7. Spread mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers evenly. Smooth the top.
  8. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder. Slice into squares.

Notes

  • Use instant espresso powder dissolved in water if brewed coffee isn’t available.
  • Ensure brownies are fully cooled before layering to prevent melting the cream.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
