Instructions

  1. Press the tofu: Drain the tofu and press it between two plates with a weight on top for 10-15 minutes to remove excess liquid, ensuring a firmer texture for cooking.
  2. Cut the tofu: Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes for even cooking and better absorption of the sauce.
  3. Prepare the broccoli: Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets to ensure quick and uniform stir-frying.
  4. Prepare the sauce ingredients: Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and cold water until the cornstarch is fully dissolved to create a smooth sauce.
  5. Cook the tofu: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the wok and set aside.
